MSAN is a voluntary student organization formed entirely of Stanford students, dedicated to serving the wider Stanford community.

MSAN will be campaigning on a number of issues this year, from community space to human rights. Watch this space for our upcoming projects.

MSAN 's first campaign this year was the Chasing Liberty Series, designed to focus attention on civil rights abuses, especially of Muslim Americans. American society seem willing to give up such hard fought for freedoms, even if they compromise our values and our committment to equality.

MSAN's other focus will be supporting the Coalition of Justice in the Middle East in their initiatives, such as Palestine Awareness Month. Nakba Day in 1948 and the tragedy of the Palestinian experience will be the main focus of the series.

Lastly, MSAN is also committed to social justice within the Muslim world. Spring quarter will see an "Islam and Democracy" series as well as events on Darfur.
